How do I know if I would make a good tattoo artist?

Doodles, small drawings of cars and princesses… We all do it as a child, but only a few can realise: it can be the beginning of a free, artistic life.

Many don’t even know how talented they are! They doubt their skills, their style, they simply don’t believe in themselves. Sometimes they can’t recognise the fact that their special, extravagant style makes them unique, and in the end, successful.

We all have to find what we are good at, what we are passionate about. You have to keep in mind though: no one is born with knowledge. You have to work for that.

To quote Emile Zola:

“The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work.”

Creating a tattoo is also a way of self expression. Just like with acrylic paint, pastel, or oils, the technique can be learnt. How far you get is often the matter of your attitude and the energy you invested in.

I truly believe: the more you work, the more you improve yourself, the more successful you get.
